You are on a journey.
We are on a journey.
Let's walk the road together.
Germonds Church in New City, NY was built in 1860 by a community of German immigrants. Throughout its history it has continued to reach out to care for its community, welcoming people from all different walks of life, seeking to be a home for love and justice and hope in the world.
Germonds is a PC-USA church that has a rich history of worship, service, and connection, where we continue to strive to make a difference in our neighborhood, and in the lives of our neighbors local and worldwide.
Meet Pastor Abbie
Rev. Abbie Huff has been at Germonds since 2017. Abbie hails from Philadelphia originally, though her family mostly resides in Texas. She was indoctrinated as a Cameron Crazie during her undergraduate at Duke. She has an MDiv. from Princeton Theological Seminary and spent some time developing a new worshipping community in Nyack, NY.
Abbie believes that worship services and particularly sermons are one of the ways we get to pause our busy lives and think about what is important and meaningful. We get to ask the deep questions and do some of the internal work to which God calls us.
In her spare time Abbie loves to visit Texas and Montana to spend time with family, or travel the world. Her 10 lb. miniature poodle, Marcus Aurelius, accompanies her on many of the domestic trips. Abbie is an avid reader, writer, adventurer, and extrovert.
You can read some of Abbie's reflections on faith and life by visiting her Germonds Church blog page HERE.

Organist and Pianist
MaeRi Bae is a professional pianist and organist. She began playing in the Presbyterian Church when she was 12 years old in her home country of Korea. She went on to win numerous piano competitions and was selected as winner of the Bitgood scholarship for organ. She is a mother, grandmother, and teaches piano in her spare time.
For MaeRi music is her testimony and prayer. When she plays we can all feel our hearts joining in the worship song.
